CBCSD Main Campus Youth Ministry Volunteers
If you are interested in being a volunteer, please begin by emailing pastortim@cbcsd.com. In the application process, you will also need to complete the online application and provide two people who can submit reference forms. Acceptable non-family references should include at least one CBCSD pastor or ministry leader (fellowship, small group, Sunday school, etc.). Second references may optionally be fellow church members who can affirm your faith background and journey.
Friday Small Group Leader
Fridays | 7:30–9:30 PM
We are seeking open-minded, loving adults who desire to walk alongside middle and high school students by guiding discussion and mentoring them in their faith journey.
Responsibilities:
- Review provided small-group materials each week
- Facilitate approximately 25–30 Friday Fellowship small-group sessions (from August–May)
- Build authentic, trusting relationships with students by listening without judgment
- Attend a monthly meeting for small-group leaders
- Pray regularly for the students in your group
Qualifications:
- Endorsement of a congregational pastor
- A follower of Jesus who desires continued spiritual growth
- Willing to learn about youth and youth ministry
- Committed to the vision of the youth ministry and pastoral leadership
Sunday School Teacher
Sundays | 10:45 AM–12:00 PM
We are recruiting teachers who can clearly teach the Bible and thoughtfully connect Scripture to the everyday lives of teenagers.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a series (typically 4-16 weeks) to middle school, high school, or a combined youth class
- Present biblical content or topical Christian teaching in an engaging way
- Lead activities or discussions that encourage participation and reflection
- Pray for your class regularly
Qualifications:
- Endorsement of a congregational pastor
- A follower of Jesus who desires continued spiritual growth
- Willing to learn about youth and youth ministry
- Committed to the vision of the youth ministry and pastoral leadership
Emergency Response Team
Sundays | 9:00–10:30 AM or 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the garage area and surrounding parking lot
- Welcome youth and assist parents with basic questions
- Help direct adults to appropriate locations outside the youth area
Qualifications:
- Endorsement of a congregational pastor
- ERT trained and approved through the church office
